LAS VEGAS, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- George McNeill shot a 5-under 67 Saturday to take a five-shot lead after the third round of the PGA's Frys.com Open in Las Vegas.

McNeill, who shared the second-round lead with D.J. Trahan, finished 54 holes at 197.

Trahan shot an even-par 72 Saturday and is tied for second with Robert Garrigus (68) at 202.

McNeill, a former assistant pro, has not won on tour. He won last year's Qualifying School to get his card and is 122nd on the money list.

"It's just like any golfer's dream, you always want to win PGA Tour events," said McNeill. "The first step is to get this one under my belt. I feel like I belong."

Garrett Willis (73), Kent Jones (68), Bo Van Pelt (68) and John Huston (72) are tied for fourth at 204.

Cameron Beckman (68), Stephen Leaney (69), Jeff Gove (70), Bob May (71), Mathias Gronberg (71), Mark Wilson (71) and Jason Gore (73) are tied for eighth.
