Langer leads seniors by four strokes

SPRING, Texas, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Bernhard Langer shot a 7-under 65 Saturday for a four-shot lead after two rounds of the Administaff Small Business Classic at Spring, Texas.

Langer, who set a course record on Friday with a 10-under 62, birdied his last three holes Saturday and stands at 17-under-par 127 in the senior event.

Mark O'Meara posted an 8-under 64 Saturday and is tied for second place with Tom Kite (65) at 13-under 131.

Langer, a German, is a Hall of Famer with three PGA Tour wins, including a pair of Masters titles, and 42 European Tour victories. He turned 50 in August.

Tom Purtzer (65), Jim Thorpe (66), Lonnie Nielsen (67), Andy Bean (67), Jeff Sluman (68) and Tom Jenkins (68) are tied for fourth place at 10-under-par 134.
