NFL: Arizona 34, St. Louis 31

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Roderick Hood picked off two passes Sunday, returning one 68 yards for a touchdown as the Arizona Cardinals held off the winless St. Louis Rams for a 34-31 win.

Kurt Warner completed 14 of 28 passes for 190 yards and one touchdown after Matt Leinart was forced out of the game in the second quarter with a broken collarbone. Leinart was 7 of 13 for 100 yards with one interception before getting hurt.

Larry Fitzgerald caught nine passes for 136 yards and score. Edgerrin James rushed for 88 yards and a TD on 26 carries for the Cardinals (3-2).

"Matt has got a fracture of his collarbone," said Arizona Coach Ken Whisenhunt. "We don't know how long it is going to be."

For the Rams (0-5), Gus Frerotte started in place of the injured Marc Bulger, completing 24 of 43 for 262 yards. He managed three touchdown passes, but also threw three interceptions.

Rookie running back Brian Leonard rushed for 102 yards on 18 carries, while Torry Holt had five catches for 89 yards and a score in defeat.
