HOUSTON, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Gavin Glinton scored in the 77th minute Sunday as Los Angeles beat the Dynamo, 2-1, in an MLS contest at Houston.

While continuing their improbable late-season run, the Galaxy (8-13-6) also got a goal from Carlos Pavon in the 45th minute to record their fourth win in a row, which helps maintain slim playoff hopes.

Los Angeles had not won a road game in the 2007 MLS season before a 1-0 victory at Kansas City Sept. 27.

Houston's lone goal was scored by Nate Jaqua in the 21st minute.

The Dynamo (14-8-6), who lead the Western Conference, had a three-game winning streak snapped.

They next face last-place Real Salt Lake Oct. 15 in Salt Lake City.
