DANVILLE, Calif., Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Pat Hurst and Inbee Park both shot 67 Thursday to share the lead after one round of the Longs Drugs Challenge.

Hurst overcame a four-putt double-bogey on the par-5 11th on a cool, windy day at the Blackhawk Country Club.

"Everybody's in the element, so you just got to go out and play and do the best that you can and not think about it," Hurst said. "I was just trying to go out there and hit it one shot at a time and not think about the wind or how cold it is. So every shot you just figure it in and just play for it."

World No. 1 Lorena Ochoa shot a 3-under 69 to tie for third with defending champion Karrie Webb, Patricia Meunier-Lebouc, Lorie Kane, Diana D'Alessio, Stacy Prammanasudh and Se Ri Pak.
