ST. LOUIS, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Gus Frerotte will start in place of the ailing Marc Bulger Sunday when the St. Louis Rams face the Arizona Cardinals.
The Rams are winless in their first four games of the 2007 season, with Bulger playing with two broken ribs and a sore knee.
"This is all based on getting Marc healthy," said Coach Scott Linehan. "When (Bulger) is (ready), he will be back. It's not anything other than that."
"Somehow, something needs to change," Frerotte told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Wednesday. "We made several changes this week and hopefully it'll show up on Sunday."
The 36-year-old Frerotte went 3-for-6 for 29 yards after replacing Bulger in the second half of the Rams' 35-7 loss at Dallas last Sunday.
For the season, Bulger has two touchdowns on 74-for-133 passing for 765 yards and four interceptions. He has been sacked 11 times in four games.
