ATLANTA, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Joey Harrington threw two touchdown passes and veteran Morton Anderson kicked four field goals Sunday to lead the Atlanta Falcons past Houston, 26-16.

Harrington, who replaced troubled Michael Vick at quarterback this season, completed 23-of-29 passes for 223 yards in the Falcons’ first win of the season.

Harrington threw TD passes to Michael Jenkins in the first and second quarters, while Anderson made 4-of-5 field goal attempts in his kicking duel with Houston’s Kris Brown, who made 3-of-4 field goal tries.

Anderson opened the scoring with a 28-yard field goal in the first quarter. Houston (2-2) quarterback Matt Schaub came back on the next drive to make it 7-3 on a 35-yard TD pass to Andre Davis.

Schaub was 28-of-40 for 317 yards passing.

Atlanta (1-3) responded with touchdown passes to Jenkins of five yards late in the first quarter and seven yards with 8:22 to play in the half to make it 17-7.

The kickers took it from there. Anderson made field goals of 22, 36 and 46 yards, while Brown connected from 42, 37 and 19 yards out.
