GLENDALE, Ariz., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Steve Breaston’s 73-yard punt return and a stiff Cardinals defense highlighted Arizona’s 21-14 victory over Pittsburgh Sunday.

Edgerrin James gained 77 yards and scored a touchdown on 21 rushes, and Larry Fitzgerald caught 11 passes for 123 yards for the Cardinals (2-2).

Kurt Warner went 14-of-21 for 132 yards and one touchdown for Arizona. Matt Leinart completed 7-of-14 for 93 yards.

Santonio Holmes had six catches for 128 yards and two TDs for the Steelers (3-1), but the Cards held Willie Parker to 37 yards on 19 rushes.

Ben Roethlisberger completed just 17-of-32 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns, and was intercepted twice.

The game was the first meeting between the teams since Ken Whisenhunt left the Steelers to take over as head coach of the Cardinals, taking assistant coach Russ Grimm with him.
