AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Jordy Nelson scored on an 89-yard punt return and had 12 receptions for 116 yards Saturday as Kansas State upset seventh-ranked Texas 41-21.
Josh Freeman completed 22 of 38 passes for 177 yards and a score for the Wildcats (3-1, 1-0 Big 12), who defeated the Longhorns for the second straight season. James Johnson carried 19 times for 77 yards and scored twice -- once on a rush and once on an 85-yard kickoff return.
Colt McCoy passed for 200 yards and a touchdown but had a career-high four interceptions on a 19-of-39 day for the Longhorns (4-1, 0-1), who suffered their worst home defeat in the past 10 seasons.
Quan Cosby had two receptions for 33 yards and a TD, and Jamaal Charles added 72 yards and a score on 17 carries. Vondrell McGee also scored for Texas.
