Branshaw leads by 2 at PGA Viking Classic

MADISON, Miss., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- David Branshaw shot a 3-under 69 Saturday to increase his lead to two strokes after three rounds of the PGA's Viking Classic at Madison, Miss.

Branshaw completed 54 holes at 13-under-par 203, and owns a 54-hole lead for the first time in his PGA Tour career. He will be seeking his first tour win Sunday.

The Viking Classic caught up Saturday from a two-hour, 41-minute weather delay Thursday.

Bill Haas, who is also looking for his first PGA Tour win, had a 70 Saturday is second at 205.

Three-time PGA Tour winner Chad Campbell fired a 64 to jump into a share of third place at 10-under 206. He is tied with Johnson Wagner (68) and 2003 PGA champion Shaun Micheel (68).

Fred Funk, who won this year at the Mayakoba Golf Classic, posted his third straight 69 to take a share of sixth at 207 with Jay Delsing (70) and Boo Weekley (70).
