GUANGZHOU, China, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Second-seeded Virginie Razzano didn't drop a game in posting a second-round victory at the $175,000 Guangzhou International tennis tournament in China.

Razzano swept by Tiantian Sun, 6-0, 6-0, and moved into the tournament quarterfinals where she is to meet Virginia Ruano Pascual. Ruano Pascual is coming off a strong 6-1, 6-1 upset Thursday of sixth-seeded Olga Govortsova.

Top-seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues had only a slightly tougher time in a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Jelena Kostanic Tosic. Medina Garrigues, the Guangzhou runner-up last year, drew Anastassia Rodionova, who rallied for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, second-round win over Camille Pin, for Friday's quarterfinals.

Third-seeded Shuai Peng, the local crowd favorite, was ousted, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5), in a tight match with Tzipora Obziler. Also Thursday, Ioana Raluca Olaru defeated Zi Yan, 6-1, 6-4, and will face Obziler on Friday.

The fourth quarterfinal sends fourth-seeded Dominika Cibulkova against Alicia Molik. Cibulkova breezed by Shanshan Song, 6-1, 6-2, and Molik took out Julie Ditty, 6-3, 6-2, in second-round play.
