CHICAGO, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Paul Konerko had a three-run homer Thursday night as the Chicago White Sox beat Kansas City, 10-0, for their second straight shutout win.

Lance Broadway, making his first major league start, allowed two hits and struck out eight over six innings. Broadway (1-1) had pitched three times in relief since being called up earlier this month.

Matt Thornton and Bobby Jenks finished up the shutout.

The White Sox had recorded a 3-0 victory over the Royals Wednesday night.

Scott Podsednik and Juan Uribe contributed two hits for the White Sox, who handed Kansas City their fourth loss in five games.

Billy Buckner (1-2) gave up six runs on seven hits in six innings for Kansas City.

Konerko's homer, his 30th of the year, came in the first inning.
