Ohio State suspends QB Antonio Henton

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Ohio State has suspended third-string quarterback Antonio Henton following his arrest on a misdemeanor charge of soliciting a prostitute.

The 6-foot-2 inch, 232-pound red-shirt freshman from Fort Valley, Ga., was charged Monday night by Columbus police and suspended before Tuesday’s practice.

“Obviously, we’re disappointed, to say the least,” Coach Jim Tressel said at his weekly meeting with reporters Tuesday. “We’ll handle the situation and do what’s best for the young person, and obviously what's right for the team. (Henton) will be suspended indefinitely. When we err, whether it's a player, a coach, whomever, that's disappointing.”

Henton has not played a down this season.

'”I don't think it will be a distraction for us because we’re going to be focused on the next team,'' staring quarterback Todd Boeckman told The Akron Beacon-Journal. ''We just have to keep on moving on."

The eighth-ranked Buckeyes face Minnesota at Minneapolis Saturday night.
