LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Chris Klein scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute Sunday, as the Galaxy surprised FC Dallas, 2-1, in an MLS contest at Los Angeles.

The lowly Galaxy (5-13-6) stopped a three-game winless streak.

The Hoops (12-10-4) started quickly, with Dax McCarty scoring in the 11th minute, but that was their only score in their four shots on goal.

The Galaxy also had four shots.

The Hoops failed to clinch a playoff spot, as their winless streak reached three straight games.
