
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Ray Durham hit a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth Saturday as the San Francisco Giants beat Cincinnati, 2-0.
Durham increased his RBI total to 70 for the season, while slugger Barry Bonds missed his seventh straight game because of a sprained toe on his right foot.
Rich Aurilia had a run and two hits, and three pitchers -- starter Kevin Correia and relievers Brad Hennessey and Brian Wilson -- combined on a six-hit shutout.
Correia gave up five hits in seven scoreless innings with two walks and six strikeouts.
Hennessey (4-5) was the winner and Wilson earned his fifth save, as the Giants snapped a four-game losing streak.
Six players had one hit each for the Reds, who have split their last four games.
The losing pitcher was Bill Bray (3-3).
