CHICAGO, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Alfonso Soriano hit two homers and drove in five runs Saturday afternoon as the Chicago Cubs beat Pittsburgh, 9-5.
In all, he had three hits and scored twice.
Chicago’s Derek Lee had two runs, four hits, and one RBI.
One of Lee’s hits was a solo homer in the second.
Aramis Ramirez had two runs, two hits, and two RBI following his two three-run homers Friday, and Ryan Theriot had two runs and three hits as the Cubs maintained their NL Central lead over Milwaukee with the fourth win in their last five games.
Winner Rich Hill (10-8) allowed three earned runs and five hits in five innings.
Pittsburgh starter Zach Duke hit a two-run single in the second.
Four players had one RBI, and no one had more than one hit as the Pirates suffered their eighth loss in a row.
Duke (3-8) yielded five runs -- four earned -- and nine hits in four innings.
