COL FB: Syracuse 38, Louisville 35

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Andrew Robinson threw four touchdown passes Saturday afternoon as Syracuse upset 19th-ranked Louisville, 38-35.

Robinson set a tone with a 79-yard scoring pass to Taj Smith before the game was a minute old.

He threw his second and third touchdown passes, and Max Suter scored on a 93-yard kickoff return as the Orange built a 21-7 halftime lead.

Robinson went 17-for-26 passing for 423 yards, Smith made four receptions for 173 yards, and Mike Williams caught a touchdown pass as the Orange (1-3) snapped Louisville’s 20-game home-field winning streak.

Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm was valiant in defeat, throwing for four scores of his own on 44-for-63 passing for 577 yards.

Wide receiver Harry Douglas scored once on 12 catches for 213 yards, and Anthony Allen rushed for 68 yards on 20 attempts for the defending Big East champion Cardinals (2-2, 0-1 Big East).

It was Louisville’s second loss in a row.
