VERONA, N.Y., Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Steve Flesch, going for his second win of the year, shot a 7-under 65 Friday to lead after two rounds of the Turning Stone Resort Championship at Verona, N.Y.
Flesch, who captured the Reno-Tahoe Open this season, completed 36 holes at 13-under 131. He was one shot in front of Brendon de Jonge (66) and Jeff Gove (67).

Charles Warren (65) was alone in fourth, two shots back.
Flesch began play on the back nine and recorded three birdies and an eagle in his first five holes.
"I'm going to have to go out and shoot under par the next couple of days," Flesch said. "I guarantee if I go out and shoot a pair of 70s on the weekend, I'm not going to win."
