SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Javier Morales scored in the 86th minute Wednesday night, as Real Salt Lake rallied for a 2-2 tie with Los Angeles.

In a meeting of the two worst teams in the league, Salt Lake and Los Angeles traded penalty kick goals and then produced scores within a minute of each other late in the contest.

All the scoring came in the second half.

Carey Talley scored on a penalty for Salt Lake in the 56th minute and Landon Donovan answered in the 79th.

Gavin Glinton then gave the Galaxy a brief lead with his second goal of the season in the 85th minute. Morales responded moments later with a drive from outside the penalty area that beat goalkeeper Joe Cannon.

It was the first goal of the year for Morales.
