NEW YORK, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Greg Dobbs hit a pinch-hit grand slam Sunday, helping the Philadelphia Phillies complete a three-game sweep of the New York Mets with a 10-6 victory.

Dobbs' home run, his 10th of the season, broke a 5-5 tie and provided much of the damage in a five-run Philadelphia rally. The decision pulled the Phillies, which is 12-6 against New York this season, to within 3 1/2 games of the first-place Mets in the National League East.

The Mets scored three runs in the fifth inning to tie the score Philadelphia loaded the bases with two walks and an error -- one of six by New York in the game. After Jayson Werth was walked for force in one run, Dobbs deliver his first grand slam of his career.

Guillermo Mota (2-2), the third of a team-record-tying eight pitchers the Mets used Sunday, took the loss while Philadelphia's Geoff Geary (3-2) got the win with two innings of two-hit relief.

Carlos Beltran hit a three-run home run for the Mets to tie the score at 5-5 and Moises Alou had three of the nine New York hits to run his hitting streak to 20 games.
