
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Quarterback David Garrard threw for 272 yards and a touchdown as the Jaguars rallied to edge Atlanta 13-7 Sunday.
Garrard completed 17 of 25 passes and added 20 rushing yards for the Jaguars (1-1), who were coming off a 13-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans last week.
Also for Jacksonville, Reggie Williams caught two balls for 41 yards and his 14-yard TD grab in the opening minute of the fourth quarter gave the Jaguars the lead. Fred Taylor ran for 56 yards on 16 carries.
QB Joey Harrington was 12 of 20 for 200 for the Falcons (0-2), who were coming off a season-opening 24-3 setback at the hands of Minnesota. Roddy White had four receptions for 81 yards and Warrick Dunn rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
