COLUMBIA, S.C., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Blake Mitchell was 14-of-21 passing for 147 yards with three TDs and three interceptions Saturday, as No. 23 South Carolina beat South Carolina State, 38-3.

Cory Boyd picked up 132 yards on 11 carries for the Gamecocks (3-0), who won their sixth straight game dating back to last season.

Mike Davis gained 102 yards on 16 carries and Kenny McKinley caught four passes for 36 yards.

Cleveland McCoy connected on 9-of-18 passes for 62 yards for the Bulldogs (1-2). William Ford picked up 112 yards on 17 carries and caught three passes for 15 yards.

Aaron Haire accounted for S.C. State’s scoring with a 36-yard field goal.
