TORONTO, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Toronto FC's Major League Soccer winless record streak continued Saturday with the first-year franchise playing Real Salt Lake to a scoreless tie.

Toronto even played the final 55 minutes up a man after Salt Lake forward Fabian Espindola was ejected for violent conduct. Toronto (5-13-6) stayed winless since a July 4 win over Real Salt Lake.

Both teams are struggling to keep their slim playoff chances alive. Real Salt Lake (4-13-7) is second to last in the West, 10 points out of the last playoff spot, while Toronto is last in the East, eight points out of last.
