MLB: Philadelphia 3, N.Y. Mets 2 (10 inn.)

NEW YORK, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Greg Dobbs' 10th-inning pinch-hit sacrifice fly scored Jayson Werth, as the Philadelphia Phillies held on to beat the New York Mets, 3-2 in 10 innings.

Werth went 2 for 4 in the game. The Phillies' Chase Utley hit a game-tying two-run homer in the sixth inning.

For the Mets, David Wright homered and Moises Alou drove in a run, going 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 18 games.

The Phillies have won five straight and 10 of 16 games against the division-rival Mets this season. The Phillies also cut the Mets' lead in the NL East to 5 1/2 games, and drew within one game of San Diego in the NL wild-card race.
