Terry Glenn has more knee surgery

IRVING, Texas, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terry Glenn Thursday underwent right-knee arthroscopic surgery for the second time in six weeks.

The 11-year veteran had hoped to be able to return to the Cowboys after he had a similar surgery Aug. 1. The team now labels his return as "uncertain."

"Some players certainly would’ve said 'my season is through,' said Coach Wade Phillips on the team's Web site. "For him to say I'm going to try everything I can to be a part of this team, I think tells you what kind of person he is. I don't have any feel for it how long it could be, but we're certainly going to save a spot for him."

The former first-round draft pick by New England in 1996 is coming off consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons with the Cowboys, his third NFL team.

He played for Green Bay in 2002.
