KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Justin Morneau and Jason Kubel drove in two runs apiece Monday, pacing the Minnesota Twins to a 4-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
Morneau Kubel each had two hits on the night.
Mike Sweeney drove in both runs for Kansas City, which has lost six consecutive games.
Minnesota starter Boof Bonser (7-12)allowed two runs on five hits while striking out six and walking four.

Torii Hunter reached on a one-out walk in the sixth and scored when Morneau greeted reliever Neal Musser with a double. Morneau then extended the lead in the seventh with an RBI single for a 4-2 cushion.
Kansas City stranded the bases loaded in the eighth when reliever Matt Guerrier struck out pinch-hitter Esteban German to end the inning. Joe Nathan then worked the ninth for his 31st save of the season.
Kansas City starter Billy Buckner (0-1) took the loss.
