Woods wins his 60th PGA Tour event

LEMONT, Ill., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods Sunday posted the 60th victory of his PGA Tour career, regaining the lead in the FedEx Cup race with a win at the BMW Championship in Lemont, Ill.

Woods one-putted 11 greens in shooting an 8-under 63 at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, for a two-shot triumph over Aaron Baddeley -- who took advantage of perfect scoring conditions to shoot a 66. Steve Stricker was alone in third at 266 following a 68.

K.J. Choi and Rory Sabbatini will be the only other players in the 30-man field at the Tour Championship next week with a mathematical chance to win the FedEx Cup and its top prize of $10 million.

Woods is fifth on the all-time PGA Tour win list, two behind Arnold Palmer. The career record holder is Sam Snead with 82.
