JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Vince Young put Tennessee in front with a two-yard scoring run late in the third quarter Sunday and the Titans held on to defeat Jacksonville 13-10.

Chris Brown ran for 175 yards and Young made up for a poor passing day by producing the winning touchdown with his feet.

Young, beginning his first full season as a starting quarterback, completed 11 of 18 passes for 78 yards with an interception. But he finished off a 12-play, 79-yard drive with the touchdown run that gave the Titans the lead with 59 seconds left in the third.

David Garrard, making his first start as Jacksonville's quarterback, was 17 of 30 for 204 yards and a touchdown. Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 60 yards, but and his fourth-quarter fumble inside the Tennessee 20 cost the Jaguars a chance for at least a tie.

Tennessee's winning touchdown drive took 6 1/2 minutes off the clock. Brown had carries of 14 and 13 yards during the march.

Jacksonville then answered with a long drive of its own that came to an end when Jones-Drew, after catching a pass, had the ball knocked out of his hands by teammate Marcedes Lewis.
