MLS: Los Angeles 3, Colorado 1

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Edson Buddle scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 62nd minute Saturday night as the Galaxy beat Colorado, 3-1, in an MLS contest at Los Angeles.

The Galaxy (4-11-5) snapped a six-game losing streak, and a franchise-record 10-game winless streak.

The other goals came from Alan Gordon in the 46th minute, and Kyle Martino in the 69th minute.

The Rapids’ goal was scored by Mehdi Ballouchy in the 88th minute.

The loss ended Colorado’s four-game unbeaten streak.

Colorado (7-10-7) lost a chance to gain sole possession of the last MLS playoff spot, after Columbus suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chicago.
