HOUSTON, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Nate Jaqua scored his second career hat trick Saturday night as the Dynamo topped Real Salt Lake, 4-3, in a Major League Soccer match at Houston.
Jaqua's goals were scored in the sixth, 48th, and 57th minutes, with Corey Ashe assisting on all three goals. Eddie Robinson scored Houston's other goal in the 28th minute.
The victory extended Houston’s unbeaten streak to four straight games.
With FC Dallas beating Toronto FC, 2-0, the Dynamo (12-7-6) have a two-point lead over the Hoops in the battle for first place in the Western Conference.
RSL (4-12-6), which has split its last four games, got goals from Fabian Espindola in the 18th minute, Carey Talley in the 69th minute, and Chris Brown in the 82nd minute, but remains fifth in the West.
