MLB: Milwaukee 14, Houston 2

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Prince Fielder, Ryan Braun and Corey Hart all hit three-run homers Wednesday as Milwaukee clobbered the Houston Astros 14-2.

Fielder’s 41st homer came in the bottom of the first, Braun’s 28th was hit in the second and Hart’s 20th was in the fourth. Milwaukee’s Bill Hall and Geoff Jenkins hit solo homers.

Hart had two runs, three hits and three RBI, while Johnny Estrada had two hits and one RBI for the Brewers, who got the fourth win in their last five games.

Winning pitcher Yovani Gallardo (7-4) yielded six hits and two walks in seven scoreless innings with five strikeouts.

Houston’s Luke Scott ended the shutout with a two-run homer in the ninth off reliever Ray King. Scott and Hunter Pence had two hits each for the Astros, who have split their last 10 games overall.

Loser Matt Albers (4-7) gave up seven earned runs and nine hits in five innings.
