CONCORD, N.C., Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s crew chief is following him to Hendrick Motorsports, the team said Tuesday.
Tony Eury has been part of Earnhardt’s crew through most of his NASCAR career, The Raleigh News & Observer reported.
"Dale Jr. and I are both excited to continue working together," said Eury in a statement issued by the team. "With the resources we'll have at Hendrick Motorsports, it's an opportunity to consistently run up front and be in title contention every year. The goals are winning races and winning championships."
Earnhardt, one of the best-known racing drivers in the country, is the son of Dale Earnhardt, who was killed in 2001 after crashing in the last lap of the Daytona 500.
