COL FB: Wisconsin 42, Washington St. 21

MADISON, Wis., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Tyler Donovan passed for 284 yards and three TDs and ran for another score Saturday afternoon, as seventh-ranked Wisconsin beat Washington State, 42-21.

Donovan was 19-of-29 passing. P.J. Hill rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries, and Luke Swan made eight catches for 170 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Alex Brink was 17-of-27 for 171 with a touchdown and Dwight Tardy had 21 carries for 96 yards and a TD for Washington State.
