NFL: Tampa Bay 31, Miami 28

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Jeff Garcia completed 4-of-10 passes for 54 yards and a TD Saturday night, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat Miami, 31-28, in an NFL exhibition game.

Backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski was 10-for-16 for 104 yards and two touchdowns, and Carnell Williams gained 25 yards on four carries for the Buccaneers (2-1).

Tampa Bay tight end Alex Smith came out of the game in the second quarter with a left-ankle injury and did not return.

Trent Green started at quarterback for Miami and completed 7-of-11 passes for 42 yards, with one interception.

Rookie John Beck went the entire second half, completing 11-of-22 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns for the Dolphins (2-1).
