BRIDGEVIEW, Ill., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Calen Carr scored goals Saturday night as the Chicago Fire beat Kansas City, 2-0, in an MLS contest at Bridgeview, Ill.
Blanco scored in the 44th minute, and Carr scored in the 86th minute.
The Fire improved to 7-9-5 overall with the second win in their last three games, However, Chicago is sixth in the Eastern Conference, and likely will not make the post-season playoffs.
The Wizards (9-8-5) have dropped three of four, but maintain an outside chance of qualifying for the post-season.
