Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

BALTIMORE, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Matt Garza and four relievers held the Orioles to one run Saturday night, as the Minnesota Twins routed Baltimore, 8-1.
Torii Hunter had a three-run homer and an RBI double for the Twins, who won their fourth straight in a game that was delayed almost two hours by rain. Juan Rincon, Carmen Cali, Matt Guerrier and Julio DePaula combined to check the Orioles on just four hits in four innings.
Jason Bartlett had four hits and two RBI, and scored twice for the Twins.
Radhames Liz (0-1) gave up four hits and five runs in six innings, with five strikeouts and three walks for Baltimore.
Corey Patterson had four hits for the Orioles, who lost their fifth straight game.
