MLB: San Diego 14, Philadelphia 3

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Milton Bradley hit a pair of three-run homers to knock in six runs Friday night as the San Diego Padres blasted Philadelphia, 14-3.

Bradley homered in fifth and ninth innings. Adrian Gonzalez belted a pair of solo homers and finished with three runs, three hits and three RBI. Josh Bard had a career-high five hits and three RBI, two others had one RBI apiece, and Kevin Kouzmanoff had two runs and four hits for the Padres, who totaled a season-high 22 hits in their third straight victory.

Winner Greg Maddux (10-9) gave up three earned runs and seven hits in seven innings.

Philadelphia’s Ryan Howard had a hit and two RBI. Aaron Rowand had two hits and one RBI, while Shane Victorino and Tadahito Iguchi also had two hits for the Phillies, who have lost four of five.

The loser was starter Jamie Moyer (11-10).
