NFL: Chicago 27, Indianapolis 24

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- The Chicago Bears edged Indianapolis 27-24 in preseason play Monday in a rematch of last season's Super Bowl won by the Colts 29-17.

Brian Griese was 10-of-13 for 131 yards and a touchdown and last year's starting quarterback Rex Grossman was 9-of-11 for 59 yards for the Bears. Devin Hester scored on a 50-yard punt return.

For the Colts, Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning, completed 5-of-8 for 61 yards. His back-up quarterbacks -- Jim Sorgi and Josh Betts -- each threw touchdown passes.

Joseph Addai rushed for 24 yards and a TD and Aaron Moorehead caught in four passes for 52 yards and a score.
