MLB: Seattle 9, Minnesota 4

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Raul Ibanez had two of four Seattle homers and drove in three runs Monday, leading the Mariners to a 9-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

Ibanez and Richie Sexson both had two-run homers in the first inning. Kenji Johjima also homered and wound up with three RBI.

Winner Horacio Ramirez (8-4) allowed four runs on nine hits in 7 1/3 innings to win for the third time in his last four decisions. The Mariners won for the 10th time in their last 13 games.

Matt Garza (2-4) gave up seven runs on nine hits in 2 1/3 innings. Michael Cuddyer had two RBI and Justin Morneau had three hits and an RBI for the Twins.
