SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Cuauhtemoc Blanco scored his first MLS goal and assisted on Paulo Wanchope's first MLS goal Saturday night as the Chicago Fire beat Real Salt Lake, 2-0.

Chicago is unbeaten in three games since Blanco joined the team. The Fire had been winless in six games -- and had won just one of its previous 11 -- before the Mexican icon came onboard.

Blanco scored in the 43rd minute, taking a feed from Ivan Guerrero and putting the ball into the upper right corner past Real Salt Lake goalie Nick Rimando.

Blanco used a corner kick to get an assist when Wanchope scored an insurance goal.

Chicago is 2-1-1 under Coach Juan Carlos Osorio, who took over the team in July.
