MLB: Toronto 3, Baltimore 2 (10 inn.)

TORONTO, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Aaron Hill hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning Sunday afternoon as the Toronto Blue Jays beat Baltimore, 3-2.

Vernon Wells, who scored the game-winner, and Troy Glaus both had two hits and an RBI, as the Blue Jays won for the second time in the three-game series.

Glaus hit a solo home run in the fifth.

The winning pitcher was reliever Scott Downs (2-2) after starter Roy Halladay yielded two earned runs and six hits in nine innings, with three walks and five strikeouts.

Baltimore’s runs came on an RBI single by Brian Roberts and Kevin Millar’s fielder’s choice groundout. Jay Payton had a run and two hits for the Orioles, who have split their last 10 games.

The loser was Chad Bradford (2-6).

Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie surrendered two earned runs and only three hits in eight innings, with no walks and six strikeouts.
