MLB: Colorado 7, Los Angeles 4 (14 inn)

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Matt Holliday made up for an a 0-for-6 night by knocking in the go-ahead run as the Colorado Rockies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-4 in 14 innings.

Holliday’s extra inning single scored Ryan Spilboughs before Brad Hawpe hit a two RBI single as Colorado pulled away.

Matt Herges (2-0) threw two scoreless innings in relief for the victory. Matt Corpas picked up his 11th save by sitting down Los Angeles in order in the bottom of the 14th inning.

Cory Sullivan had a home run and two RBI and Hawpe went 4-for-6 with two runs scored for the Rockies, who ended a two-game slide.

Roberto Hernandez fell to 0-2 with the loss, allowing three runs in two innings of work. Shea Hillenbrand was 4-for-6 with two RBI for the Dodgers, who saw a three-game winning streak end.
