NEW YORK, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Former pro basketball official Tim Donaghy may be ready to expose others in a widening NBA gambling scandal.

The disgraced former official will give federal prosecutors as many as 20 names, detailing their alleged involvement, including betting in casinos, A report by 1050 ESPN Radio in New York says.

Donaghy turned himself in to authorities last Wednesday, and later pleaded guilty to felony charges of conspiracy to engage in wire fraud and transmitting gambling information through interstate commerce.

He has apologized for his involvement.

"I'm very sorry about what happened," he told the New York Daily News. "I'm not going to say anything beyond that. This is an ongoing case -- I can't say anything else. I was in a unique position to pick the outcome of NBA games. I received cash payments for successful picks."

He is free on $250,000 bond, with sentencing set for Nov. 9.

His prison term could be as long as 25 years.
