GREENSBORO, N.C., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Jeff Overton posted a 6-under 66 Saturday to move into a three-shot lead after three rounds of the PGA Wyndham Championship at Greensboro, N.C.

Overton, one of three overnight co-leaders, finished 54 holes at 18-under-par 198 as he seeks his first victory on the PGA Tour.

Billy Mayfair had an 8-under 64 Saturday to move into a second-place tie with Anders Hansen, Carl Pettersson and Tim Petrovic, all of whom shot 68-201.

"I don't think 18-under is going to win this tournament," Overton said. "We cant' go out there tomorrow and just play bad."

Overton has never held a 54-hole lead on the tour. His best finish was a tie for ninth at last year's 84 Lumber Classic.

Lucas Glover (66) is tied for sixth with Shigeki Maruyama (67) at 202.

Craig Kanada (70) -- who had a triple-bogey at the 16th -- is tied for eighth with overnight co-leader Steve Marino (71), Brandt Snedeker (66) and Will MacKenzie (68) at 203.
