MLB: San Francisco 4, Florida 3

MIAMI, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Barry Bonds hit a game-winning two-run homer Saturday night to help the San Francisco Giants edge Florida, 4-3.

Bonds' 26th homer of the season -- the 760th of his MLB career -- erased a 3-2 deficit in the top of the fifth inning, and put San Francisco ahead for good.

San Francisco's Bengie Molina and Rich Aurilia each had one RBI. Aurilia and Ryan Klesko had two hits apiece as the Giants won for the third straight time.

Winner Matt Cain (5-13) gave up three earned runs and six hits in seven innings, with a walk and seven strikeouts. Brad Hennessey earned his 11th save.

Florida got a solo homer from Hanley Ramirez in the first inning and a two-run blast by Mike Jacobs in the fourth. Jacobs was one of three players with two hits for the Marlins, who have lost three in a row.

Loser Rick Vanden Hurk (3-4) surrendered four earned runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.
