
CHICAGO, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Mark DeRosa had five hits and four RBI Thursday afternoon as the Chicago Cubs beat Cincinnati, 12-4.
The Cubs came back from a 4-0 second inning deficit by scoring seven times in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Chicago's Aramis Ramirez had two runs, four hits and two RBI. Jacque Jones had one run, four hits and two RBI; Ryan Theriot had three runs, three hits and two RBI; while Matt Murton added a run and two of the 20 hits for the Cubs -- who broke a four-game losing streak and pulled to within one-half game of Milwaukee in the NL Central.
Winner Jason Marquis (10-7) yielded four earned runs and seven hits in six innings.
Cincinnati got one RBI each from four players, and Ken Griffey Jr. had a run and three hits for the Reds, who had won the previous two games at Wrigley Field.
The loser was starter Bobby Livingston (3-3).
