NASHVILLE, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Marcus Mason’s 1-yard TD run and Byron Westbrook’s last-minute fumble recovery Saturday gave the Washington Redskins a 14-6 preseason win over Tennessee.
Quarterback Todd Collins drove the Redskins 75 yards in the final four minutes for Mason’s TD plunge -- and Westbrook recovered a Tim Rattay fumble in the end zone to give Washington its second touchdown with less than a minute left.
Tennessee managed just two field goals -- a 41-yarder by Rob Bironas and a 39-yarder by John Vaughan.
Tennessee Coach Jeff Fisher suspended starting quarterback Vince Young before the game for violating a team rule. Fisher did not say which rule was involved.
Kerry Collins completed 10-of-17 passes for 79 yards, and Rattay was 13-for-21 for 123 yards for the Titans.
Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell completed 6-of-14 passes.
