Tommie Harris' wife dies

FRISCO, Texas, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Clarence Goodson scored on a header in the 92nd minute Saturday night as FC Dallas beat Columbus, 3-2, in a Major League Soccer contest at Frisco, Texas.
It was the first goal this season for the veteran defenseman -- and his first since July 25, 2005 -- and gave the Hoops two wins in a row.
Arturo Alvarez and Carlos Ruiz scored the other goals for the Hoops, who improved to 11-6-3 with the third win in their last four games.
Marcos Gonzalez and Andy Herron scored for the Crew (6-6-8), who had a 2-1 lead after Herron converted on a penalty kick in the 74th minute for his third goal of the season.
The loss left Columbus in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, just ahead of Chicago and Toronto FC.
