MLS: EC Dallas 1, Colorado 0

FRISCO, Texas, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Third-string goalkeeper Ray Burse came through for the Dallas FC Hoops Saturday in a 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids in MLS action.

The Hoops started Burse because of injuries to starter Dario Sala and backup Shaka Hislop.

U.S. international Drew Moore scored the game's only goal in the 31st minute following a Dax McCarty free kick.

Dallas moved within a point of the top spot in the West. Colorado hasn't won a game sine May 26, going 0-7-3.
