MLB: Tampa Bay 9, Baltimore 2

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Carlos Pena hit a two-run homer Saturday as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays defeated the Baltimore Orioles 9-2.

Scott Kazmir (8-7) allowed just one run on seven hits in seven innings, while walking two and striking out nine.

Delmon Young drove in three runs ,and Carl Crawford had three hits with two RBI and three runs scored for the Devil Rays, who have won four of their last six games.

Baltimore starter Brian Burres (5-5) gave up seven runs on eight hits in just 3 1/3 innings.

Aubrey Huff had two hits and scored a run, and Corey Patterson and Jay Payton each drove in a run for the Orioles, who have lost three of their last four.
